faf012b438 Do not pass Consensus::Params& to Chainstate helpers (MacroFake)
fa4ee53dca Do not pass time getter to Chainstate helpers (MacroFake)

Pull request description:

  It seems confusing to pass chain params, consensus params, or a time function around when it is not needed.

  Fix this by:

  * Inlining the passed time getter function. I don't see a use case why this should be mockable.
  * Using `chainman.GetConsensus()` or `chainman.GetParams()`, where possible.

Merge bitcoin/bitcoin#20295: rpc: getblockfrompeer
dce8c4c381 rpc: getblockfrompeer (Sjors Provoost)
b884ababc2 rpc: move Ensure* helpers to server_util.h (Sjors Provoost)

Pull request description:

  This adds an RPC method to fetch a block directly from a peer. This can used to fetch stale blocks with lower proof of work that are normally ignored by the node (`headers-only` in `getchaintips`).

  Usage:
  ```
  bitcoin-cli getblockfrompeer HASH peer_n
  ```

  Closes #20155

  Limitations:
  * you have to specify which peer to fetch the block from
  * the node must already have the header

ea31caf6b4 update estimatesmartfee rpc to return max of estimateSmartFee, mempoolMinFee and minRelayTxFee.
This will provide better estimates which would be closer to fee paid in actual
transactions.
The test has also been changed such that when the node is restarted with a
high mempoolMinFee, the estimatesmartfee still returns a feeRate greater
than or equal to the mempoolMinFee, minRelayTxFee.(just like the feeRate of actual transactions)

Merge bitcoin/bitcoin#18448: rpc: fix/add missing RPCExamples for "Util" RPCs
ea98d9c2ef rpc: fix/add missing RPCExamples for "Util" RPCs (Sebastian Falbesoner)

Pull request description:

  Similar to https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/18398, this PR gives the RPCExamples in the RPC category "Util" (that currently contains `createmultisig`, `deriveaddresses`, `estimatesmartfee`, `getdescriptorinfo`, `signmessagewithprivkey`, `validateaddress`, `verifymessage`) some love by fixing one broken and adding three missing examples:
  - fixed `HelpExampleRpc` for `createmultisig` (disturbing escape characters and quotation marks)
  - added missing `HelpExampleRpc` for
      - `deriveaddresses` (also put descriptor in a new string constant)
      - `estimatesmartfee`
      - `getdescriptorinfo` (also put descriptor in a new string constant)

e6b4aa6eb5 miner: Pass in chainman to RegenerateCommitments
Pass in chainman instead of prev_block so that we can enforce the
block.hashPrevBlock refers to prev_block invariant in the function
itself.

We should probably rethink BlockAssembler's API and somehow include
commitment regeneration functionality in there. Something like a variant
of CreateNewBlock that takes in a std::vector<TxRef> and return a CBlock
instead of CBlockTemplate. That could avoid reaching for
LookupBlockIndex at all.

Pull request description:

  Store default values of RPC arguments in the corresponding type instead of a string. The value is then serialized when the help output is needed. This change simplifies #20017.

  The following examples illustrates how to use the new `RPCArg::Default` and `RPCArg::DefaultHint`:

  ```diff
  - {"verbose", RPCArg::Type::BOOL, /* default */ "false", "True for a json object, false for array of transaction ids"}
  + {"verbose", RPCArg::Type::BOOL, RPCArg::Default(false), "True for a json object, false for array of transaction ids"}
Pull request description:
  Overall PR: #20158 (tree-wide: De-globalize ChainstateManager)
  Note to reviewers:
  1. This bundle may _apparently_ introduce usage of `g_chainman` or `::Chain(state|)Active()` globals, but these are resolved later on in the overall PR. [Commits of overall PR](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/20158/commits)
  2. There may be seemingly obvious local references to `ChainstateManager` or other validation objects which are not being used in callers of the current function in question, this is done intentionally to **_keep each commit centered around one function/method_** to ease review and to make the overall change systematic. We don't assume anything about our callers. Rest assured that once we are considering that particular caller in later commits, we will use the obvious local references. [Commits of overall PR](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/20158/commits)
  3. When changing a function/method that has many callers (e.g. `LookupBlockIndex` with 55 callers), it is sometimes easier (and less error-prone) to use a scripted-diff. When doing so, there will be 3 commits in sequence so that every commit compiles like so:
  1. Add `new_function`, make `old_function` a wrapper of `new_function`, divert all calls to `old_function` to `new_function` **in the local module only**
  2. Scripted-diff to divert all calls to `old_function` to `new_function` **in the rest of the codebase**
  3. Remove `old_function`
Pull request description:
  Adds `contrib/signet/miner` for mining signet blocks.
  Adds `bitcoin-util` cli utility, with the idea being it can provide bitcoin related functionality that does not rely on the ability to access a running node. Only subcommand currently is "grind" which takes a hex-encoded header and grinds its nonce until its nBits is satisfied.
  Updates `getblocktemplate` to include `signet_challenge` field, and makes `getblocktemplate` require the signet rule when invoked on the signet change. Removes connectivity and IBD checks from `getblocktemplate` when applied to a test chain (regtest, testnet, signet).
Pull request description:
  This PR continues and completes the work begun in #17700 working on issue #16000 to create a client-side version of RPC `generate`.
  Basically, `bitcoin-cli -generate` wraps calling `generatenewaddress` followed by `generatetoaddress [nblocks] [maxtries]` and prints the following:
  ```
  $ bitcoin-cli -generate
  {
    "address": "bcrt1qn4aszr2y2xvpa70y675a76wsu70wlkwvdyyln6"
    "blocks": [
      "01d2ebcddf663da90b28da7f6805115e2ba7818f16fe747258836646a43a0bb5",
    ]
  }

  $ bitcoin-cli -rpcwallet=wallet-name -generate 3 100
  {
    "address": "bcrt1q4cunfw0gnsj7g7e6mk0v0uuvvau9mwr09dj45l",
    "blocks": [
      "7a6650ca5e0c614992ee64fb148a7e5e022af842e4b6003f81abd8baf1e75136",
      "01d2ebcddf663da90b28da7f6805115e2ba7818f16fe747258836646a43a0bb5",
      "3f8795ec40b1ad812b818c177680841be319a3f6753d4e32dc7dfb5bafe5d00e"
    ]
  }
  ```
  Help doc:
  ```
  $ bitcoin-cli -h | grep -A5 "\-generate"
    -generate
         Generate blocks immediately, equivalent to RPC generatenewaddress
         followed by RPC generatetoaddress. Optional positional arguments
         are number of blocks to generate (default: 1) and maximum
         iterations to try (default: 1000000), equivalent to RPC
         generatetoaddress nblocks and maxtries arguments. Example:
         bitcoin-cli -generate 4 1000
  ```
  Quite a bit of test coverage turned out to be needed to cover the change and the different cases (arguments, multiwallet mode) and error-handling.
  This PR also improves some things that working on these changes brought to light.
  Credit to Harris Brakmić for the initial work in #17700.
Pull request description:
  This PR removes the `g_rpc_node` global, to get same benefits we see removing other globals and make RPC code more testable, modular, and reusable.
  This uses a hybrid of the approaches suggested in #17548. Instead of using `std::any`, which isn't available in c++11, or `void*`, which isn't type safe, it uses a small new `util::Ref` helper class, which acts like a simplified `std::any` that only holds references, not values.
  Motivation for writing this was to provide an simpler alternative to #18647 by Harris Brakmić (brakmic) which avoids some shortcomings of that PR (https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/18647#issuecomment-617878826)
Pull request description:
  #16060 removed CSV & segwit from versionbits, breaking the "rules" key returned by GBT.
  Without this, miners don't know they're mining segwit blocks, and should fall back to pre-segwit block creation.
